CHAMINUKA APOLOGISES FOR CHITIYO’S BROKEN LANGUAGE

In a rather strange development, warriors assistant coach Soul Chaminuka today apologized to the nation for Ronald Chitiyo’s broken English.  

Chitiyo during a post match interview, tried hard to respond in English but unfortunately his English was heavily broken and in the process embarrassed the nation.

“I would like to apologise to the nation for the boy’s broken English. Remember the whole world is likely to hear such broken English. 

"We knew his English was far from being fluent and we should have barred him or assign an interpreter” said Chaminuka.

This is how Chitiyo responded in broken English “The moral is happy in our camp…it’s because we are same age…”

MEASURES TO PREVENT FLOODS IN PLACE AT TOKWE

The department of Tokwe Sub-Catchment Council said the government had finished building all the saddle dams which helps prevent floods at Tokwe-Mukosi dam.

Speaking to Great Zimbabwe University Media students at their Chivi Growth Point Offices, Mr. Alois Gava said measures were successfully put in place to prevent the outbreak of floods at the dam.

“Saddle dams are complete which is a great measure to prevent the people who are surround the Tokwe-Mukosi dam from floods”, Gava said.

These saddle dams holds all back flowing water so that it does not flow randomly, but rather go into these dams.

During the last year’s rain season, Tokwe-Mukosi was declared a national disaster after thousands of people were affected by floods. They were relocated to Nuanetsi Ranch.

Mr. Gava said floods which happened the beginning of last year came when no one could expect such a heavy rainfall in the region of Masvingo.

He said the dam wall is yet to be completed. Gava said that the project of building Tokwe-Mukosi dam wall is stand still so far because the government is failing to pay the contractors.

“Tokwe-Mukosi project is stand still because the government is failing to raise money to pay the contractor”, Gava said.

He said students should be one day toured to Tokwe-Mukosi and see for themselves how big the dam is since it is going to be the biggest dam in Zimbabwe.     

ZAOGA FIF CELEBRATES 55

Hundreds of ZAOGA followers in Mashava staged a march from Balman to ZAOGA assembly at Bere Township to commemorate the attainment of 55 years of their church

Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith followers celebrated their church’s attainment of 55 years in all countries it has reached on the 10^th of May 2015.

The anniversary celebrations in Mashava started with a march from Balman to ZAOGA assembly in Bere Township where hundreds of followers took part. Notably, at the procession was the presence of a police escort and colourful drum majorettes.

In delivering his sermon at Bere Assembly, District Pastor (DP) Rev Ngonidzashe Chakodzonga said the church has gone this far as a result of the might works that God is doing in the church.

“We have gathered this day to celebrate the might works that are done by the God of Ezekiel. Our ministry has gone this far by keeping holiness and every believer must strive to keep holiness. People should run away from sin and maintain holiness”, DP Chakodzonga said.

The book of history of ZAOGA was read in the church and it claims that many devours diseases were healed bad omen casted away, blind restored to sight, the crippled healed, the deaf restored their hearing among many problems were brought to an end through the name of Jesus.

The church was founded on the 12^th of May 1960 in Ngaome village of Chipinge under the Gum tree by an ordinary man Ezekiel Guti who claims to have seen the angel who gave him the principles ‘Fear not sin not’ which he claims still guide the church.

Besides celebrating their church’s 55 years, ZAOGA on Campus (ZOC) secretary Billy Mudzamba said ZAOGA followers are also celebrating the attainment of 92 years of its founder Ezekiel Guti.

“We are celebrating the birthday of our church together with the birthday of our father Ezekiel Guti who was born on the 5^th of may 1923”, Mudzamba said.

Mudzamba said the church is growing big since it has now wings in India, Argentina, Singapore and many African countries. He said the church has reached over 120 countries worldwide so far.

The biggest highlight, probably was the cutting of the giant vanilla cake of which all present had a share
