ZAOGA FIF CELEBRATES 55



Hundreds of ZAOGA followers in Mashava staged a march from Balman to ZAOGA assembly at Bere Township to commemorate the attainment of 55 years of their church
Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith followers celebrated their church’s attainment of 55 years in all countries it has reached on the 10th of May 2015.
The anniversary celebrations in Mashava started with a march from Balman to ZAOGA assembly in Bere Township where hundreds of followers took part. Notably, at the procession was the presence of a police escort and colourful drum majorettes.
In delivering his sermon at Bere Assembly, District Pastor (DP) Rev Ngonidzashe Chakodzonga said the church has gone this far as a result of the might works that God is doing in the church.
“We have gathered this day to celebrate the might works that are done by the God of Ezekiel. Our ministry has gone this far by keeping holiness and every believer must strive to keep holiness. People should run away from sin and maintain holiness”, DP Chakodzonga said.
The book of history of ZAOGA was read in the church and it claims that many devours diseases were healed bad omen casted away, blind restored to sight, the crippled healed, the deaf restored their hearing among many problems were brought to an end through the name of Jesus.
The church was founded on the 12th of May 1960 in Ngaome village of Chipinge under the Gum tree by an ordinary man Ezekiel Guti who claims to have seen the angel who gave him the principles ‘Fear not sin not’ which he claims still guide the church.
Besides celebrating their church’s 55 years, ZAOGA on Campus (ZOC) secretary Billy Mudzamba said ZAOGA followers are also celebrating the attainment of 92 years of its founder Ezekiel Guti.
“We are celebrating the birthday of our church together with the birthday of our father Ezekiel Guti who was born on the 5th of may 1923”, Mudzamba said.
Mudzamba said the church is growing big since it has now wings in India, Argentina, Singapore and many African countries. He said the church has reached over 120 countries worldwide so far.
The biggest highlight, probably was the cutting of the giant vanilla cake of which all present had a share
